Beauty | Sweeten Your Day with The Body Shop's HONEYMANIA™ Series!
I'm not always a big fan of sweet fragrance, with their feminine impressions and all that over-girly persona in the air. But I do love delicate sweetness, like those you can get from fresh flowers and vanilla, or honey. Related to the last one, our favorite brand The Body Shop has come up with a range of Honey-based treatment series called HONEYMANIA™. A little about the natural ingredients, as quoted from their official site:
“We source our Community Fair Trade honey from the UNESCO Sheka Forest Biosphere Reserve in the southern region of Ethiopia, where African bees distil the nectar of rainforest flowers to create a distinctive floral honey. To collect this precious honey, we work with the ‘bee whisperers’ of Beza Mar, a group dedicated to improving the livelihood of Ethiopian beekeeping communities and maintaining their traditional, natural way of working with bees.”
The Body Shop has been known for it's eco-friendly approach on making the best product quality. They are also animel-cruelty-free, so for an animal rights enthusiast like me, The Body Shop stands on the top. Anyway, as pictured above, I got every single pieces of HONEYMANIA™ to try on, and they can't wait any longer so we better start rolling the ball now.
BATHING SERIES
1. HONEYMANIA™ SHOWER GEL
I love shower gel because it's practical and easy to use. The soap-free shower gel contains Community Fair Trade honey made from the nectar of thousands of wildflowers. Perfect for your busy schedule - easy way to get a rich, refreshing floral scent on your body.
2. HONEYMANIA™ BATH MELT
If you're up for a relaxing weekend self-treatment, you should get this indulgent bubble bath melt. This bubble bath contains Community Fair Trade honey as well, and it's great for a bath in the tub on a fine afternoon. With favorite read and drink, dip into the tub to create creamy bubbles with that lovely honey scent. Lie back and enjoy your silky soft skin afterwards.
3. HONEYMANIA™ SOAP
I'm suggesting this for both hand soap and bath soap. I'd usually prefer to use it as the first one because it might hard to get used to the solid form of soap when you're a kind of person who love foams like me. The soap has similar strong honey fragrance as the other bath gels, but it's less sticky (and much cheaper too). I'd say it's a must have - I love the scent and its cute bee shape in the middle.
4. HONEYMANIA™ BODY SCRUB
Of course taking shower is not enough to remove dead skin cells, that's why we need this exfoliating body scrub once in a while. Usually I use scrubs every weekend, to get smooth skin and clean feeling. Because this scrubs contain a lot of honey extract, it enhances the previous honey product you use and creates longer-lasted scents.
MOISTURIZING SERIES
1. HONEYMANIA™ BODY BUTTER
Oh yes, many have tried The Body Shop's body butter and each got their own favorite "flavor". Mine was previously the white musk, and now this honey sweetheart! The smell is mildly sweet, and just enough for daily use. The body butter creates thicker moisturizer surface on the skin, but it's not oily or sticky, so it's comfortable to use in day or night. And it lasted long too, compared to regular lotion.
2. HONEYMANIA™ LIP BALM
Do you drink enough water daily? If you do, great. If you haven't, you should drink more! I think I don't drink enough water daily so I make sure I use enough product to keep my skin hydrated. Using lipbalms will help to keep your lips smooth and prevent severe flaky surfaces while bringing honey around isn't really a handy option.
THE FINISHING TOUCH : HONEYMANIA™ EAU DE TOILETTE
Finally, here's the winner for me and my daily schedule : tiny Eau De Toilette that can be easily fitted on small purse or medium office bag. A to-go fragrance with light honey scents that can refresh your performa. It's affordable and it smells soooo good! Even if you're not much a honey person, you can definitely tolerate this one. Wear with or without the other series, it's useful and beneficial to have.
